Hi everyone, I’m back again! As promised, here are two of my favourite restaurants in Dublin which we visited at the beginning of January.
Bunsen

The first place we went for dinner was Bunsen and it was possibly one of the best burgers that I have had. Prices for a good meal in Dublin can get expensive, so this is a great alternative if you’d rather save your money for other activities (or the bars). It is located in Temple Bar, making it so quick and easy yet still very enjoyable.

The menu may look small (in fact, it’s small enough to fit on a business card!), and if you don’t like burgers then this isn’t the place for you, but I would really recommend visiting Bunsen. I had a cheeseburger and was so full afterwards, but if you have an extra-large appetite (or just fancy a challenge) then the double burgers are impressively big.
The Mongolian Barbeque

For the second night, we went to The Mongolian Barbeque. As this was just on the corner opposite our hotel, we had already spotted it and considered going. However, what really convinced us was the smell of the food, even from across the street.

This is such a unique experience and great fun! As you can see in the photos, you first choose your raw ingredients. From fish to chicken, noodles to peppers; there are so many possibilities. You can then choose the sauces such as teriyaki, black bean or sweet chilli and extra seasoning, herbs and spices like coriander, peanuts or ginger. Then, you take up all your chosen raw ingredients to the chefs who stir fry the food on a big barbeque-like surface.

During the evening, it is a buffet so you can go up and try as many combinations as you would like. It’s so nice to try different flavours and ingredients while also choosing how big your portions are. On top of this, it’s great value for money! If you arrive before 7pm then it is only 14.90 euros and then afterwards the price increases to 16.90 euros. This also includes unlimited white rice which is brought to your table.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Dublin and looking for something a little bit different. There really is something for everyone and are even vegetarian and vegan options too.
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed, let me know what you think in the comments.

The Mongolian Barbeque looks great! Nice to have freshly cooked food selected for your own taste. What was your favourite combination?

It was really nice! I think my favourite combination was the beef and terrayki sauce with egg noodles and vegetables, but there were so many different choices.
